Welcome to the DABU Studio! In 2021, we spent months searching for the right location for our studio in Udaipur, Rajasthan. We looked at industrial areas, rooftops, office spaces—we were open to anything. Then one day we were talking with a friend of ours and she suggested her property. They had recently built an office space to "work from home" in and there was a wonderful kaccha ghar (mud house) next to it. We saw the space and loved the potential. In July of 2021, we started some minor renovations and moved in by the end of the month.
We love our new location! It has been the perfect space for us to be creative, experiment with different dyes, and try new things. Sustainability is so important to us and this space is right in line with our values. The buildings were made of natural and recycled material. It is a miniature jungle in the city and we can use our waste water and dyes to water the plants. It's a whole eco-system in itself!
Enjoy a tour of where the magic happens! Because the property is older, there are some really special touches… like these beautifully hand painted window shutters and our jungle of aloe vera. The vibe matches who we are and what we do. It’s a great place to work!

What beautiful work spaces! I love that you use natural dyes and are careful to put the water back into the water table makes me love my Dabu Together tablecloth and napkins even more.
