So how were these handwoven palm baskets made? Great question. I would love to tell you! Earlier in the year we first connected with Sharvani and her family and immediately started dreaming up possibilities. She’s been making these palm baskets since she was a child and is now the last basketmaker in her family.
The base of our textiles, the one thing we use in almost every one of our pieces: handwoven fabric. Why? Well for one, it’s high-quality, soft, handmade and oh so beautiful. And two, we really value supporting artisans and their unique crafts. For those of you (like me) who aren’t quite sure what handwoven actually means, this post is for you!
