Made from the stems of date palm fronds, these raw, lightweight, handmade palm baskets are woven by an artisan in the Jaipur region. Once the leaves are removed from the palm trees and dried in the sun, they are stripped down to the stems and these stems are sliced and separated into long strips. With these stem fibers in hand, the artisan begins to weave.

Care Instructions:

Wipe with a clean dry cloth
For tougher stains or dirt: run under cold water and brush clean with a soft bristle brush
Dry in the sun

I wish I could purchase everything from DABU!

This was such a meaningful experience and purchase. My friend and I have been praying about coming to India for a year, and though we haven’t yet gotten an opportunity to - finding DABU refueled anticipation and excitement for when we do. I love the cards/photos they include and the handmade quality of each item! Beautiful work and beautiful humans behind each piece.
